We Were Liars by E. Lockhart is a book like none I have reviewed before! There are so many elements to this book that cannot be discussed in a review because there are many spoilers to be had in doing so. This book is filled with plot twists and mystery and if any little detail is mentioned about it, the whole book will be revealed.

Review: We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

I recently attended the Toronto International Book Fair and heard E. Lockhart speak during the I Don’t Give a Damsel Panel. Her description of We Were Liars was quite vague because even she refuses to discuss her book with someone who hasn’t read it. As a reader, I became intrigued and added this book to my TBR list immediately!

❀ Short and Sweet

One of the things I really enjoyed about We Were Liars is its length. This book is only 225 pages long. You can honestly read this book in a few hours. I liked this because there are no unnecessary details in the way to distract you from the big picture. It is short and sweet!

❀ An Incredible Story

I love a great mystery! E. Lockhart has definitely woven together an incredible story that keeps the reader guessing until the end. Her writing style is also so descriptive that the reader can envision the setting vividly.

❀ Intriguing

We Were Liars by E. Lockhart is a very intriguing book! Once you’ve read it, then you will be able to discuss the book in our secret society, “The Liars.”

I read this book around the time it came out and loved it! I always tell people to just read the book because telling people the plot of this story can just get very…messy, and it ruins the book as well. Glad you enjoyed! 🙂

I only just read this recently, it was recommended to me by my cousin. She said she wanted someone to discuss it with because it had an awesome plot twist. This is a great review!

I want to be a part of society for We Were Liers, Called The Liars! How cool is that?! The mystery surrounding this book is definitely the most intriguing part of it, and I am definitely in need of a good mystery!

I was basically forced by my friend to read this book, saying “YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK IT’S JUST SO GOOD AND THE PLOT TWIST IS JUST UGH” in literally all caps. I was so curious about what the plot twist even was, so I threatened to google about it. My friend screamed at me (the way you ca scream on chats, anyway xD) and told me she’ll kill me if I read the full summary of the book.

In the end, I definitely was mindblown. I love this book to bits! 100% one of my overall favorites. I could understand how much my friend didn’t want me to spoil myself with the plot twist. xD
